From June to November “Glistening Waters” is based at Chaffers Marina in the capital city, Wellington and operating principally on the east coast of the lower North Island. The vessel may be used for both rock lobster fishing and gamefishing/sportfishing charters.

Game and Sports fish targeted may include Kahawai, Albacore and Kingfish, Mako and Porbeagle Shark. There is a real possibility of capturing Broadbill Swordfish and Southern Bluefin Tuna. The vessel 'Glistening Waters' represents the first real opportunity for recreational anglers fishing under I.G.F.A. rules to catch Swordfish and Bluefin Tuna on rod and reel out of the capital city.

From December to May the vessel will be based initially in Gisborne where Alister and Bridget have a marina berth adjacent to the Gisborne / Tatapouri Sports Fishing Club, a wonderful facility only 25 metres from the vessel's berth. New Zealand's best Blue Marlin fishery exists in the Waihau Bay - East Cape region and is within a half a day's cruising range from Gisborne.This area offers the best variety of gamefish in New Zealand.Charter groups can board the vessel at Whakatane if they prefer.With sufficient prior notice we can accommodate fishing charters in the Western Bay Of Plenty and Eastern Coromandel.

We promote a tag and release policy for marlin but the final decision rests with the angler.
